Designing Values-sensitive, Adaptable & Sustainable Schools

Architecture plays a significant role in shaping values and behaviours. The design of physical spaces influences how people interact, perceive, and engage with the environment, thereby affecting their attitudes and evoking particular behavioral responses. Our schools are more than just buildings where teaching and learning activities take place. They are spaces where young minds flourish and are developed, and where the behaviours and attitudes of students and teachers are shaped. The design of our school buildings and learning spaces has a profound impact on shaping the values of the school community.

The talk and exhibition showcase the innovative works of students from three Master of Architecture design studios. The exhibition aims to inspire architects, built environment practitioners, schools and stakeholders to rethink and reimagine educational buildings as pedagogical tools and embrace innovative solutions to develop values-sensitive, adaptable and sustainable schools.
