LI Yu Zhou

Li Yu Zhou is the Director of Morrow Architects & Planners Pte Ltd, which started on 1 December 2017 and the General Manager for Morrow Shanghai, which was established on 2 March 2018. Prior to joining Morrow in 2017, he was an Architectural Designer and Urban Planner with RSP Architects Planners and Engineers between 2006 to 2017. He last held the position as Senior Associate of RSP and was the General Manager of RSP Shanghai between 2011 to 2017. Yu Zhou has over 15 years of experience in the field of design; ranging from masterplan, urban design and architectural design projects in countries like Singapore, China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Russia and Fiji.
A Full Member with Singapore Institute of Planners, and currently a council member and Hon Treasurer for the 2024 – 2026 SIP Council. He was the head of the CPD committee for the 2022-2024 SIP Council, which over saw the implementation of CPD events for the SIP members and also chair the organising committee of the inaugural SIP PlanEx Asia 2024, that has almost 100 participants from Singapore and about 200 virtual participants from Asia.
He has over the years been involved in many different scales of master planning of townships and cities, with population sizes range from a few hundred thousand people to few million people, and urban design projects of different nature including commercial centres like Central Business Districts, Tourism Districts, Residential Neighbourhoods and High-Tech Parks. The Huidong "Double Crescent Bay" urban design project, which he was leading, won the Silver Award for “Excellence in Urban Design, Placemaking & Public Space” at the 8th SIP Planning Awards in 2023. He was invited as guest crit and guest lecturer at various tertiary institutes in Singapore, like Nanyang Polytechnic, Diploma in Architecture program and National University of Singapore, Master of Urban Planning and Master of Urban Design program.
