Sensors

Principal Investigator: Assistant Professor Ambuj Varshney, SoC

Early detection and proactive disease treatment depend on monitoring vital human signs. We could, for example, diagnose and predict cardiovascular events by tracking changes in a heartbeat rhythm. This project aims to design a system to collect vital health-related parameters near-real time, limited to breathing and heartbeat patterns. We aim to develop a system consisting of a transmitter, receiver, and software pipeline for processing these critical health parameters. This system would be non-intrusive and sustainable, which are its distinguishing features, The transmitter may be kept at a short distance (up to 1-2 m) from the human subject; however , the receiver is located tens of meters away from the transmitter and the subject, ensuring ease of use. The transmitter and receiver are designed to be low power so that they can be powered by the harvested energy from ambient environment, i.e without use of any batteries such as energy harvested from visible light.

Adaptive and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces ARIS-RP1: Design and Characterization of Ultra-Large-Scale Intelligent Electromagnetic Surfaces Using Deep Learning ARIS-RP2: Reprogrammable Meta-optics for Information Multiplexing ARIS-RP3: Making Wireless Communication Environment Smart via Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS): A New Network Optimization Perspective Future Computing Technology FCT-RP1: Practical Data Storage and Computation in DNA Molecules FCT-RP2: Amorphous-Oxide-Semiconductor Thin Film […]

["post-14267","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
