Professor Lim Chwee Teck from the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanobiology Institute at NUS, in collaboration with researchers from Institut Jacques Monod (France) and Oxford University (UK), have discovered the primary mechanism driving the extrusion of dying cells from epithelial monolayers.
