Nine Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Duke-NUS Medicine students made NUS proud by placing 3rd in the International Genetically Engineered Machines (https:\/\/igem.org\/<\/a> ) competition out of 167 undergraduate teams. The team was also awarded the \u2018Best Foundational Advance\u2019 prize, the Gold Medal Award, and nominated for Best Wiki, Best New Composite Part, Best Presentation and Best Model, a testament to their outstanding efforts.<\/p>\n
