This Fellowship was established in 1991 through the LKY Endowment Fund, and aims at promoting the development of outstanding, young academics in science, medicine and engineering. The scheme is open to recently graduated PhDs of all nationalities, and is highly competitive, with one awardee across NUS per year for the past few years.<\/p>\n<p>Under this Fellowship, Thuan Beng aims to elucidate the importance of endogenous electric fields toward tissue homeostasis using in vitro and organ-on-chip models through interdisciplinary approaches involving cell biology, physics modeling, and micro-engineering.
