Engineering Industry day on 24 Nov. 2018-an exciting outreach activity for future environmental engineers.

On Saturday 24 November 2018, the Centre for Water Research (CWR) organized an exciting outreach event as part of the inaugural NUS Engineering Industry Day. For this event, we organized interesting activities for some high school and JC students who are interested in NUS Environmental Engineering Program including an exciting talk by Assist Prof Olivier Lefebvre on “Future trends of Environmental Engineering”, a lab tour of CWR facilities and demonstration of two Green Technologies developed by CWR:

  • 2BioS, an intelligent Bio-Sensor for monitoring heavy metal toxicity, commercialised through EnvironSens Pte Ltd, a NUS spinoff company, by Prof Ng How Yong
  • A novel UV LED photocatalytic system for water disinfection and purification, by Prof Hu Jiangyong

Joint Seminar co-organized by the Centre for Water Research (NUS) and the College of Resources and Environment (CRE), Zhejiang University, in 2024.

On July 9, 2024, the School of Environment and Resources at Zhejiang University visited NUS CEE for an exchange study as part of their summer practice.
