Mr Zhou Yu (PhD student supervised by Prof Meng Qiang and Dr Raymond Ong) has won the Award for Outstanding Presentation at the 2020 Annual Conference of the Next-Generation Transportation Systems (NGTS-2020) held at Purdue University from 28-31 Dec 2020. The student-run annual conference on next-generation transport systems (NGTS-2) is funded by the US Department of Transportation Center for Connected & Automated Transportation (CCAT) and sponsored by Purdue’s Discovery Park and Celsus Corporation.
Mr Zhou Yu’s presentation entitled “The road to electrification: the bus fleet replacement problems” focused on providing strategies to replace conventional diesel engine bus fleet to full electric bus fleet and is critical to the move by Singapore towards phasing out petrol and diesel vehicles by 2040. This award is one of the 4 awards given at the conference.
