Applications include water treatment, used water treatment and reuse and desalination. Research focuses on understanding fundamental mechanisms and theories in pollutant transport, process optimization, development of innovative membranes and pilot testing.<br \/>\r\nCWR contributed towards many new developments in membrane processes especially in FO process. Polymeric membranes incorporating nanotubes and thin film composite osmosis membranes are among the novel membranes developed and patented by CWR&#8217;s research team.
