(CORE)<\/p>\n\t<p><strong><u>About Us<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Centre for Offshore Research &amp; Engineering (CORE) was launched on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> September 2004 by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the National University of Singapore (NUS). \u00a0\u00a0Back then, the milestone event was supported by a &#8216;pledge of commitment&#8217; from Keppel Offshore &amp; Marine Ltd, Cooper Cameron Corporation, SMOE (a subsidiary of SembCorp Utilities) and Lloyd&#8217;s Register Asia.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/news-detail\/mou-signed-to-establish-seatrium-professorship-at-cde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)<\/a> with Seatrium Limited to establish a named professorship.<\/p>\n<p>The MOU establishes the Seatrium Professorship for a minimum of two years. project led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcoms.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TCOMS<\/a> and NUS\/CORE.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the project is to co-develop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sensor-interfaced structural digital twin to facilitate structural health assessment and identify local critical substructure for refined analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Data-driven response model to identify the critical substructure or local component as well as assess the status of assets and associated risks to operations.<\/li>\n<li>Deep learning data analytics and pattern
