Our Department was recently awarded the NUS Safety & Health Commitment Award 2023 by Office of Risk Management and Compliance that recognized our efforts in implementing an effective safety and health management system that would help reduce accidents and incidents in workplaces. The Department Safety Committee would like to thank each and every one involved, from lab personnel, researchers to PIs as well as our Head of Department. We are committed to making our department a safer place to study, work and live. Though our department conducts high hazard activities, we managed our risks and did not have high impact incidents from 2020-2023. Â We will continue to self-regulate and keep up our positive safety and health culture.
