Professor Liu Bin from National University of Singapore received 2021 RSC\u2019s Centenary Prize<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Based on her outstanding works in developing functional molecules\/materials and her excellence in communicating science, Professor Liu Bin from National University of Singapore (NUS) has received Royal Society of Chemistry\u2019s Centenary Prize this year. This prestigious award has a history of more than 70 years and is awarded to no more than three researchers every year. Among its past awardees, 50 researchers have received Nobel Prizes. Prof. Liu is the Head of NUS Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department, and the Vice President (Research and Technology) of NUS. Her research group develops platform technologies for synthesizing organic functional molecules and materials that are of importance to biomedical applications. These applications include imaging, image-guided therapy, and eradication of multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens.
