This prestigious award has a history of more than 70 years and is awarded to no more than three researchers every year. Among its past awardees, 50 researchers have received Nobel Prizes. Her research group develops platform technologies for synthesizing organic functional molecules and materials that are of importance to biomedical applications. These applications include imaging, image-guided therapy, and eradication of multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens.
