Grasselli Award for Catalysis, a prestigious award of EFCATS (The European Federation of Catalysis Societies). The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to heterogeneous catalysis.

Prof. Pérez-Ramírez develops sustainable processes for transforming CO2, natural gas and other important carbon substrates into energy carriers and intermediates. The processes are based on advanced nano- and mesostructured materials. For example, through the NUS Flagship Green Energy Program, he aims to establish new processes for converting CO2 into liquid fuels by using renewable energy.

Prof. Pérez-Ramírez is also the Director of NCCR Catalysis and the Editor in Chief of Catalysis Science & Technology. His recent awards include the 2019 Paul H.
