The certificate holders, after this training, will be a competent process safety practitioner with strong realistic-problem solving skills.<\/p>\n<p>This programme is open to graduates with at least a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in any discipline.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Programme Content<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This graduate certificate programme is hosted by NUS Department of Chemical &amp; Biomolecular Engineering to provide targeted training in Process Safety.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>List of Courses<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each course is 4 units unless otherwise specified.<\/p>\n<p>Each course will have 39 formal contact hours. Such individuals will be awarded a Graduate Certificate. There will be no continuation requirements.<\/p>\n<p>Participants may repeat courses [with fees] to improve GPA provided the max candidature is not exceeded.<\/p>\n<p>Students who do not take examinations or fail to attain a GPA \u2265 2.5 will be given a Certificate of Participation, listing the courses taken if attendance is at least 70% for the listed course.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Admission to Master of Science (Safety, Health and Environmental Technology) Programme<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Students who graduate with a GPA \u2265 3.0 may be considered for admission to M.Sc. SHE programme.<\/li>\n<li>A maximum of 12 units of courses (each course with a minimum grade of B-) may be transferred to the MSc SHE programme, subject to approval. The validity period of the transfer is not more than 10 years from the award of the Graduate Certificate.<\/li>\n<li>An application for transfer of credits must be submitted to CDE Office of Graduate Programmes (OGP) within the first two instructional weeks of the semester upon enrolment into the Masters candidature.
