That ensures the students to have enough time for quality training. Students will also be able to better decide and plan his\/her future career path.<\/li>\n<li>Compared with conventional Master of Engineering programme, which requires two years to finish, students will get the degree after only one year post-graduate study (the second &#8220;1&#8221; in the &#8220;3+1+1&#8221;). This saves both time and cost. Since the entire duration of the training is still two full years at NUS, there is no compromise on the training quality.<\/li>\n<li>Selection of candidates occur in year 3 during UG study. For those who\u00a0<strong>do not<\/strong>\u00a0apply to gain M.Sc. or M.Eng admission following the first +1 stage are considered to have left the educational framework.<\/li>\n<li>3+1+1 students admitted to any of the 3+1+1 Programme at NUS is under &#8220;Tuition fee category 1&#8221; &#8211; to pay the full tuition fees. Please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nus.edu.sg\/registrar\/administrative-policies-procedures\/graduate\/graduate-fees\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.nus.edu.sg\/registrar\/administrative-policies-procedures\/graduate\/graduate-fees\">latest fee structure<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>He\/she is\u00a0not allowed\u00a0to sign the Ministry of Education service obligation. If he\/she does so accidentally or intentionally, the service obligation signed will be considered void.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Resources:\n<ol>\n<li>Candidates planning to undertake the 3+1+1 programme must ensure that they have the financial resources to support themselves for the entire programme of study.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li>Funds should be set aside for living expenses as well as tuition fees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Students should contact home university to arrange for the transfer of credits and\/or course (if applicable), from NUS back to the home university in China, in order to fulfil the home university&#8217;s degree graduation requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Each application is subject to review by the ChBE Department and Faculty\/University according to the criteria stipulated by these offices. The decision made by these offices is considered final.
