Through them, you gain perspectives on real-world issues while working on real-life projects alongside engineering practitioners.<\/p>\n<p>All students are required to complete the internship component (10-units) as part of the BEng degree requirement*<\/p>\n<em>*Internship is optional if you are a polytechnic graduate &#8211; the units for IA can be utilised as UECs.<br \/>\nFor NUS Overseas College (NOC) students, internship requirement is mapped to their NOC experience.<br \/>\n<\/em>\n<p>Typically in Year 3 Semester 1 or Semester 2, you would embark on a compulsory Industrial Attachment (IA) of at least 20 weeks. During your IA, you would be able read up to 2 technical electives in the evenings to fulfil your <a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/chbe\/undergraduate\/beng-che\/curriculum\/\" rel=\"noopener\">major requirements<\/a>, or other evening modules to count as unrestricted elective courses (<a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/chbe\/undergraduate\/beng-che\/curriculum\/\" rel=\"noopener\">UECs<\/a>) subjected to companies&#8217; approval.<\/p>\n<p>Internship positions will be offered for your selection through an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nus-csm.symplicity.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">online internship portal<\/a>.
