What You Will Learn
"Design Thinking" is a human-centered methodology for innovation. A non-linear process focus on users’ needs to reframe challenges or problems. It offers an approach to think outside the box to innovate creative products, services and processes for users, organisation and in the business world. This 1-day Design Thinking Bootcamp will enable participants to use behavioural insights and discover the human factor in innovation.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and apply concepts of design thinking to innovation projects
- Understand and use design thinking tools
- Carry out prototyping of a proposed innovation concept

Instructor
Tim Hoo
Started in 1999 over two decades of professional design consulting experience for product, UX/UI digital design.
Well-versed in the creative process and start-to-end design life cycles, design conceptualisation, implementation and project team management, he has over the years led and fronted multiple projects with clients ranging from start-ups to small businesses, MNCs and government organisations. His involvement and efforts have led to recognitions and winnings from prestigious international design awards such as G-Mark, iF and the prestigious Red Dot’s Best-of-the-Best and Luminary Awards. His portfolio includes projects delivered in the domain of consumer electronics, medical & healthcare, industrial, retail space and digital interface.
Aside from consulting, Tim teaches Human-Centred Design and Design Thinking at the College of Design & Engineering in NUS.
