The Department congratulates Professor Lam Khee Poh, along with Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) PhD candidates Zhiang Zhang and Chenlu Zhang, for receiving an Outstanding Paper Award at the 7th International Building Physics Conference (IBPC) for their paper entitled \u201cA Deep Reinforcement Learning Method for Model-based Optimal Control of HVAC Systems.\u201d Their research paper was one of only six papers to receive an award out of over 200 peer-reviewed accepted papers at the conference. The event took place on September 23-26, 2018 in Syracuse, New York.<\/p>\n
