In recognition of its longstanding commitment towards advancing sustainable development and climate action, NUS has been conferred the prestigious President\u2019s Award for the Environment 2023, Singapore\u2019s highest accolade for environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

One of NUS’s key achievements is being the\u00a0first local educational institution to develop a plan to improve outdoor thermal comfort under the lead of Prof. Wong Nyuk Hien from the Department of the Built Environment.<\/p>\n

Prof Wong and his team are using the campus grounds to testbed solutions to improve outdoor thermal comfort through\u00a0an extensive high-resolution sensor network with over 50 sensors.<\/p>\n
