Specifically, the Specialisation provides students with the competencies and knowledge in topics such as passive and active strategies, solar photovoltaic deployment, renewable energy certificates, and scope 1-3 emissions. Students will have the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams to develop a green development, utilising knowledge spanning across project management, project finance, and engineering. The Specialisation also provides students the opportunity to conduct in-depth research into a specialised topic of interest that is relevant to the Specialisation during their dissertation work.<\/p>\n<p>The Specialisation in Sustainable Green Buildings is open only to students from BEng Infrastructure and Project Management.<\/p>\n<p>To be awarded a Specialisation in Sustainable Green Buildings, the student must pass 20 units from the courses listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IPM1104 Built Environment Engineering Principles and Practice (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>PF3504 Sustainable Energy Management (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>PF4213 Building Energy Analysis and Simulation (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>PF4502 Green Development (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>IPM4101 Dissertation (8 Units)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>** For students taking IPM4101, the topic should focus on research topics and\/or industry-led topics related to sustainable green buildings. Students are required to email their finalised dissertation topic to the department at\u00a0<a id=\"menurvq\" title=\"mailto:ipm@nus.edu.sg\" href=\"mailto:IPM@nus.edu.sg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Link IPM@nus.edu.sg\">IPM@nus.edu.sg<\/a> for vetting.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<a role=\"heading\" id=\"fl-accordion--label-1\">Contract Management and Cost Engineering<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<button type=\"button\" id=\"fl-accordion--icon-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--panel-1\"><i>Expand<\/i><\/button>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Specialisation in Contract Management and Cost Engineering equips students with integrated competencies in cost and contract management, project feasibility and dispute management, construction law and measurement. Through this combination of financial, contractual, legal, managerial, and technical knowledge, students develop a holistic understanding of how projects are evaluated, procured, costed, administered, and delivered across the project lifecycle. The Specialisation prepares students to address the increasingly complex commercial and contractual challenges of the built environment sector and strengthens their industry readiness for careers in quantity surveying, cost management, contract administration, and related project management roles.<\/p>\n<p>The Specialisation in Contract Management and Cost Engineering is open only to students from BEng Infrastructure and Project Management.<\/p>\n<p>To be awarded a Specialisation in Contract Management and Cost Engineering, the student must pass 20 units from the courses listed below:<\/p>\n<p><u>Compulsory Courses (8 Units)<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IPM2104 Project Cost Management (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>IPM4103 Contract and Procurement management (4 Units)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Elective Courses (12 Units)<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PF3205 Advanced Measurements (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>PF3207 Project Management Law (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>PF4203 Project Dispute Management (4 Units)<\/li>\n<li>IPM3101 Project Feasibility (4 Units)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By completing the two compulsory courses and any three courses from the approved list of electives, students will meet the requirements for the Specialisation in Contract Management and Cost Engineering.
