The Verdant Energy – NUS Fireside Chat, held on 24 February 2025 at University Town, NUS, brought together E-Scholars and industry leaders for an engaging discussion on renewable energy and the evolving landscape of sustainable power in Southeast Asia. The session was led by Verdant Energy\u2019s CEO Alan Yau, Chief Information Officer Sivaramakrishnan Sreedharan, and Chief Digital Officer Diana Gao.<\/p>\n

Alan Yau opened with a welcome and overview of Verdant Energy, highlighting its role as a leading regional renewable energy platform backed by A.P. Moller Capital. He emphasized innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning as key drivers of the energy transition, supported by an experienced management team with over eight years in the sector.<\/p>\n

Diana Gao and Sivaramakrishnan Sreedharan shared insights on the integration of AI and advanced battery storage in energy management, addressing challenges in grid stability and cost-effectiveness. They underscored the importance of interdisciplinary expertise and cross-cultural collaboration in advancing renewable energy solutions.<\/p>\n

The event concluded with a Q&A and networking session, where participants discussed industry trends and Verdant Energy\u2019s ongoing projects. The Fireside Chat offered a valuable platform for students to engage directly with industry leaders and deepen their understanding of the sustainable energy landscape.<\/p>\n
