The Division of Industrial Design, College of Design and Engineering together with the CUTE Center at the National University of Singapore in collaboration with the DLX Design Lab at the Institute of Industrial Science, from The University of Tokyo have jointly delivered design-led academic collaborative research projects since 2019. In this exhibition, we present the projects we have achieved through this opportunity to date.
In today’s information society, where things are complex and changing at a rapid pace, various unforeseen problems are occurring around us every day, related to AI, aging society, healthcare, and environmental issues as examples. In this fast-moving world, it is important for designers and scientists to imagine future society together and implement new value creation to change the world to a better future.
This exhibition features various projects created through the collaboration of design and science to shape future society, in two big of the world’s large metropolitan areas: Tokyo and Singapore.
The project has been kindly supported by UTokyo Ushioda Foundation.
