Plant O' Monitor
With apartment living on the rise, people's contact with nature – shown to positively impact health and well-being – has dwindled. Plant O' Monitor aims to bring greenery back into homes by identifying areas in indoor environments that are suitable for plant growth, and pairing this information with time lapse images of the plant. This creates a visual history of the plant's growth that allows the gardener to see responses to stimuli that normally occur at too slow a pace for the human eye to notice. In highlighting these responses, Plant O' Monitor allows the novice gardener to associate plant responses to environmental conditions, helping them learn about their plant's needs, and enabling them to better appreciate plants as living, growing organisms. |
