An Eco Lamp

Being ‘Green’ has traditionally been associated with the 3Rs of Re-use, reduce and recycle. Hence, a negative stigma has been associated with such urban renewal products - that they are often of inferior quality. The eventual product proposal challenges this by being a re-definition of paper from a re-creation of exhausted by-products, which prompts the user to re-appreciate the lifecycle and effects of his/her materialistic wants.

Pressed organic matter molded into lighting shades.

Cut the raw ingredients into smaller pieces. Blend ingredients and achieve a paste.

Combine the mixtures for different textures. Place mixture onto silkscreen and remove excess water. Transfer onto the cloth.

Place the sample on mold to be shaped. Peel off when dried. Construct the lamp.
