Archaic is a project that explores the application of design in leather. With the desire to give form to a flat skin of leather, the process of boiling vegetable-tanned leather was experimented with to discover its opportunities and limits. This treatment of the material allows it to retain a three-dimensional form without the need for sewing or conventional fasteners.

The shaping process of the leather was carried out under careful control to give the end-product a defined general outline while preserving the natural irregularity of the material.
