Educational Toy for Autistic Children
designed by: Ma Xiaodan

Children with autism learn better through multi-senses such as visuals, tactility and other sensory stimulations. A matching game with different themes involving daily objects (clothing, food and toiletries, etc.) was designed. It allows autistic children make sense of the textures and context of objects in the game, achieving familiarity with daily materials and linking visual and tactile senses to the usage of daily objects.

A set of matching puzzles of daily activities with real textures to provide an intermediate level of ‘object to picture’ to ‘picture to picture’ matching exercise.

The set includes one painted steel board and 8 sets of puzzles.

Real materials improve children’s learning experience of crucial self-care skills.
