The Eportal Communications System targets the limitations of post-disaster communications at the emergency shelters. It offers an avenue through a physical communicator device for the survivors to send SMS, search for lost love ones, report to aid agencies their actual needs, alert rescuers for attention and listen for news via an inbuilt radio.

Primarily for survivors and rescuers at the emergency shelters, the proposal also creates a communication system for major NGOs and governmental agencies to tap on for effective and reliable communication.
