As a research outcome of an in-depth study into the subject of waste, value and use, inter-objects seek to reduce the amount of waste generated by objects. A relational design approach was employed to design the performance of use, as opposed to directly the product. This acknowledges that objects are part of a heterogeneous network that includes people and spaces, and that use is, in fact, a social experience.
The result is Inter-objects, a household collection of interfaces that create new uses from expired products.
