Link
- Transmitting Touch Over Distances
designed by: Christina Chin & Nicolette Tan

Link is an interactive system with two modules that transmit physical touch over distances. When Link senses a presence on either side, it transmits signals through bluetooth to the other module, which glows a faint orange to indicate the presence. Interaction with Link by touching it or putting objects on it will create a three dimensional imprint which is reflected on the other module in real-time. This creates endless interactive possibilities and is suitable for people who are apart from each other. This project expresses the associative yet unpredictable and speculative character of interpersonal relationships in a tangible interface.

Small touch-sensitive pins create a surface of varying depths according to pressure, creating a new form of interactive medium sensitive to touch.

Link is suitable for people who are living apart from each other.
