Tripal
designed by: Colin Ong & Darren Yeo

Conventional bicycles do not invite meaningful engagement due to its obtrusive form. Tripal explores the social aspect of cycling by relooking the archetype of the conventional bicycle. For a more intimate cycling experience, cyclists are able to interact face to face while on Tripal. The handlebar on Tripal is shifted to the sides and an upright cycling position is adopted. This is possible with the latest gyroscopic technology. Combining technology and aesthetic, a new ergonomy and typology is created.

The repositioning of the handlebar makes Tripal a more communal mode of transport.
