NUS Researchers Won 3 Awards at Light Conference 2018 – Electrical and Computer Engineering

Prof. Hong Minghui and his team received 3 awards at Light Conference 2018. Prof Hong was conferred Outstanding Editor Award for his contributions to Light: Science & Applications (LSA). Supervised by Prof. Hong, Mr. Chen Lianwei, who is now a 3rd year PhD candidate, competed with other young professors and postdocs worldwide and won the 3rd Prize of “Rising Stars of Light” Award. Mr. Zhou Yan, who is another Prof. Hong’s 2nd year PhD student, won one Best Poster Award among the 104 selected posters.

Light conference 2018 was organized by LSA, which is one of the top optical conferences in the world. LSA is a top international journal of Springer Nature Publishing group with an impact factor of 13.625. It ranks as the third out of 94 journals in Optics. Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Jianlin Cao, who is a former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
