Three NUS engineering subjects were ranked among the world\u2019s top 10 in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2019.<\/p>\n

The three were: Civil and Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.<\/p>\n

NUS also ranks 8th<\/sup>\u00a0in the overall Engineering and Technology category.<\/p>\n

The QS rankings examined higher education performance at more than 1,200 universities from 78 locations, which were then categorised into 48 subject tables and five broad disciplinary tables.<\/p>\n

More than 83,000 academics and 42,000 employers were polled, and QS also looked at research data from 150 million citations in 22 million academic papers.<\/p>\n

Institutions are assessed on four main indicators: Academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper and an H-Index \u2014 which assesses faculty researchers\u2019 productivity and impact.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
