On March 20, 2023, the ECE Department organized a company visit to AMD’s office located at Changi Business Park Vista to help students gain a better understanding of the opportunities offered by Specialisations in Advanced Electronics and Internet of Things (IoT). The event was well received by students, with 53 participants, mostly Year 1 and Year 2 students who will soon choose their specialisations. The visit was hosted by Ms. Ng Pei-Fern, Senior Manager of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD. The programme included a sharing session by AMD engineers to elaborate on the nature of their work, as well as a virtual lab tour and an actual physical lab visit to provide a more immersive experience for the large group of students. The students also had the opportunity to personally try out some video and audio demos. The event concluded with a networking session between the students and AMD employees.<\/p>\n
