Associate Professor Qiu Cheng Wei (Dean\u2019s Chair Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) has been admitted as a Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET).<\/p>\n

The AAET Fellowship is awarded to eminent individuals from academia, research institutes, industry and government who have demonstrated successful leadership or outstanding contributions to engineering and technology, and played an important role in the overall development of the ASEAN region.<\/p>\n

Assoc Prof Qiu is known for his research in structured light and metasurfaces and has published more than 460 peer-reviewed journal papers to date.<\/p>\n

The AAET, founded in 2004, is a recognised society of the ASEAN Secretariat dedicated to promoting, enhancing and the wider application of engineering science, technology and innovation for advancing economy, society and humanity in ASEAN communities and globally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
