The event took place at Lecture Theatre 1, with over 30 attendees, including awardees, their proud families, and faculty members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This year, 18 Electrical Engineering students\u00a0were honoured, with 9 awardees from the 2024 intake and 9 from the 2022 intake. Of these, 6 awardees from the 2024 intake and 4 from the 2022 intake attended the ceremony, accompanied by their families and friends.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Shannon Award, named after Claude Shannon, the &#8220;Father of Information Theory,&#8221; is awarded to Singaporean students with good University Admission Scores.\u00a0 Recipients must also meet the criterion of not holding any other concurrent scholarships.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Following the awards presentation, attendees enjoyed a lunch reception, offering students and their families an opportunity to interact with faculty members.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The ECE Shannon Award serves as a meaningful incentive for promising students to explore and contribute to the evolving field of Electrical Engineering.
