We are honored to share that Prof Yang Hyunsoo has<\/span> been elected as a 2025 Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS).<\/p>\n

The APS Fellowship Program was created to recognize members for exceptional contributions in physics research, important applications of physics, significant contributions to physics education, or leadership in or service to the APS community.<\/p>\n

Prof Yang was nominated by the American Physical Society Topical Group on Magnetism and its Applications (GMAG) for \u201csignificant contributions to topological spintronics, including spin-orbit torque and terahertz emission in 2D materials, and for leadership in education, service to the scientific community, and engagement with industry\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fellowship is a distinct honor signifying recognition by one\u2019s professional peers. Each year, no more than one-half of one percent of the society\u2019s membership (excluding student members) is recognized for election to the status of Fellow of the American Physical Society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
