Recently Dr Chen has been elevated to IEEE Fellow, a distinction reserved for select IEEE members with extraordinary accomplishments in IEEE\u2019s fields of interest.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4225\" src=\" \/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2019\/12\/Chen-Xudong.jpg\" alt=\"Chen Xudong\" width=\"232\" height=\"auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr Chen received the accolade for his contributions to <strong>optimization methods for electromagnetic inverse scattering<\/strong>. His research interests mainly include inverse scattering and computational imaging. He has authored the book,\u00a0<em>Computational Methods for Electromagnetic Inverse<\/em><em>\u00a0Scattering<\/em>\u00a0(Wiley-IEEE, 2018), the first monograph on computational algorithms for inverse scattering. He has been members of organizing committees of 10+ conferences, serving as General Chair, TPC Chair, Award Committee Chair, etc.\u00a0 He has been an Associate Editor of the\u00a0<em>IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and<\/em><em>\u00a0Techniques<\/em>\u00a0since 2015.
