He did his research under the supervision of Associate Professor Sanjib Kumar Panda from <a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/ece\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NUS Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a> and Dr. Thomas Reindl from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seris.nus.edu.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS)<\/a>. The thesis, which he successfully defended in 2019, studied the current limitations in the area of photovoltaics (PV) and proposed strategies to overcome them by applying optimization approaches. Thus, aiming for further enhance the potential of PV for real applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">During and after his Ph.D., Dr. Carlos Rodr\u00edguez Gallegos has worked widely in the field of renewable energy and optimization algorithms resulting in more than 40 international journal\/conference publications generating around 500 citations and 2 software copyright.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dr. Carlos Rodr\u00edguez Gallegos is currently working as a Research Fellow in SERIS.
