Quantum Materials\n\t<\/h2>\n<p>Shaping tomorrow&#8217;s materials for advanced electronics with a Specialisation in Microelectronics &amp; Quantum Materials (MQM). This specialisation explores the dynamic influence of diverse materials in microelectronics applications, unlocking the next-gen power electronics for future technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the world&#8217;s biggest foundries such as Micron Technology, Infineon Technologies, AMD etc., have manufacturing facilities in Singapore, as do many other top outsourced semiconductor assembly and test companies. Beyond semiconductors, Singapore is also a key node in the global supply chain for products ranging from storage and memory products, to microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Furthermore, the leading materials &amp; equipment suppliers such as Applied Materials, for electronics manufacturing also require the engineers with microelectronic background. New kinds of semiconductors used for millimetre wave and beyond for future communications, and wide bandgap semiconductors for next-gen power electronics are becoming more important. Singapore government has decided to invest more\u00a0resources\u00a0to enhance the development of\u00a0semiconductors\u00a0in Singapore.
