iDP team comprising Eugene Ee (mentor), Raymond Bala, Namuduri Venkata Raghav, Owen Li Dong Lin and Ong Zhi Hong<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Team Van Halen’s Belt comprising of iDP students Ong Zhi Hong, Owen Li Dong Lin, Namuduri Venkata Raghav and Raymond Bala were awarded a Distinction Award for their submission at the recent International Space Challenge 2022 (ISC 2022) which took place between September to December 2021.<\/p>\n

As part of the challenge statement on theme of space weather, their mission report proposed the use of a High-Voltage Energy Generator that harnesses energy from the Van Allen belts to extend satellite mission lifespan coupled with a suite of particle detectors and sensors to further understand the complex nature of these belts of radiation surrounding the Earth.<\/p>\n
