Admission Requirements<\/h3>\n

Admission to this MSc programme is granted on a competitive<\/strong> basis as places in the programme are limited.<\/p>\n

Applicants should possess the following minimum<\/strong> requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
Academic<\/strong><\/td>\nBachelor’s Degree (preferably with Honours) in Engineering, Computing, Business Studies, Industrial Design or equivalent disciplines<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Skill\/Experience<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • Any significant experience in prototyping will be considered. Applicants who have relevant experience are encouraged to include a statement to describe the prototype, the purpose of the prototype, the skills they have learnt, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Design portfolios (if any) will also be considered.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
English Language proficiency<\/strong><\/td>\nApplicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their English proficiency by means of either of the following tests:\n
    \n
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with minimum score of 85 (Internet-based)<\/li>\n
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with minimum Academic score of 6.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Note: TOEFL \/ IELTS scores are valid for two years from the test date and should not have expired at point of application. Those who apply with expired scores will be rejected.<\/p>\nApplicants may be waived from this requirement if they completed their degree programme taught entirely in English in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, USA.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

    Application Period<\/h3>\n

    An academic year (AY) at NUS consists of two regular semesters and a Special Term:<\/p>\n

    • Semester 1: August to December<\/li>\n
    • Semester 2: January to May<\/li>\n
    • Special Term: May to July<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
