Director's message

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Engineering Scholars programme (E-Scholars), at NUS. We are very excited to launch the E-Scholars programme in 2019 as a result of a significant revamp and enhancement of the Global Engineering Programme (GEP), which was launched in 2009.

Our aim is to attract students with exceptional potential and provide them with a unique educational experience that brings together the best educational programmes that NUS offers with a generous scholarship. Students admitted to the E-Scholars programme have normally achieved very high levels of academic performance. A cornerstone of the E-Scholars programme is to leverage on such exceptional academic abilities in order to nurture well-rounded individuals with skills that go beyond academic results. E-Scholars will follow an accelerated pathway towards obtaining a Bachelor plus a Master degree in 4 years.

We have partnered with NUS Enterprise to include the internationally-renowned NUS Overseas College Programme (NOC) as part of the E-Scholars programme, where students will gain industrial exposure by interning in technological start-up companies overseas. The enhanced educational experience of the E-Scholars programme also includes exclusive modules based on students’ personal aspirations and leadership as well as the first-in-Singapore living & learning opportunities of the vibrant  NUS University Town experience.
