Students are expected to allocate ten hours per week to their projects and maintain scheduled meetings with their project supervisor(s). The projects extend to both academic and industrial domains, covering areas such as software and hardware design, equipment development, mathematical modelling, AI, and simulations. Students gain practical expertise and contribute to research efforts in both academic and industry settings.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Learning Outcomes<\/h3>\n<p>In this course, students will acquire the following skills and knowledge<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify the research problem.<\/li>\n<li>Review sources of information to learn about existing methods, solutions, and background.<\/li>\n<li>Specify the objectives and scope clearly.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a methodology and collect data.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and interpret data.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate findings concisely, precisely, and attractively in written reports and oral presentations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<h3>Project Proposals<\/h3>\n<p>To submit a project proposal for ESP students, whether you represent an industry, a research institute, or academia, kindly click <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/r\/77uE4bf7y4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that the research project requires significant depth. Students are anticipated to thoroughly explore the subject matter, engage in extensive research and development, and deliver a comprehensive analysis and evaluation.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Project Selection<\/h3>\n<p>ESP will offer a curated of projects for students to select from. Alternatively, students have the option to propose their own project ideas, provided they secure a supervisor who is willing to support them, and the project receives approval from ESP. The supervisor, who may originate from academia or industry, must upload the project proposal via the link provided above to complete the submission process.
