NUS Chemical Engineering E-Dialogue Session 2024

The Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department, College of Design and Engineering, is pleased to invite you to the Chemical Engineering E-dialogue session this year. This will be an informal yet engaging Zoom session with Head of Department, Associate Professor Saif A Khan, senior lecturer and lead for Outreach, Dr Suraj Vasudevan, as well as a few of our senior students!

They will share with you the relevancy of chemical engineers in today’s world and the career prospects of a chemical engineer. With the urgency to find solutions for pressing global issues, chemical engineers are pivotal in addressing complex contemporary challenges – be it vaccine development for COVID-19, climate change, sustainability, water scarcity, or novel energy sources. A few of our top researchers are featured in this post!

Chemical engineers in CDE are reimagining how pharmaceuticals are manufactured sustainably to meet ever-growing global needs; we are inventing the intelligent molecular factories of the future; and we are dreaming up new molecular products that change lives – from detecting diseases to capturing CO2 from the air. In the face of digitalisation and industry 4.0, we are also deeply engaged with the AI revolution and its transformative impact on the engineering profession.

Register for the event via http://bit.ly/3vBftzc on 27 January (Saturday)! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to ask us targeted questions about your potential course of study.
