The combined process achieves high removal efficiency, easy product separation, and low operational cost, making it suitable for industrial, agricultural, and domestic wastewater treatments. The team will need to identify which kind of wastewater treatment and customer would be the best avenue to commercialize this process and develop a go to market strategy for it.<\/p>\n<h3>ConfocaLine<\/h3>\n<p><strong>3D imaging tech that combines Confocal imaging with AI for better diagnostics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TechLeads: Bi Renzhe \/ Long Kai \/ Xu Zhengyang<\/p>\n<p>This is a confocal imaging platform that unites with AI image reconstruction for real-time, quantitative imaging. Together with integrated laser-speckle dynamics it can produce 3-D microscopic structure and its dynamic measurements with an accuracy of \u00b15\u202f%. Examples include blood flow and semiconductor wafer surface inspection. The role of the team would be to find a must-have need for 3-dimensional images and other morphology. They then need to find the stakeholders for this need and understand the market size and business case for taking this tech to commercial use.<\/p>\n<h3>ReCOGnAIze<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Scientifically validated digital games to detect and improve brain health<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TechLead: Mohammed Adnan<\/p>\n<p>This is software as a medical device to detect subtle cognitive changes which helps detect cognitive impairment and even differentiate Vascular Mild Cognitive Impairment. Potential areas for application include detecting brain fog in menopausal women, cognitive training for ADHD kids, increasing focus in ADHD adults, detecting and helping with neurodivergence. The team will need to assess and choose a particular condition which is best solved by the properties of this innovation. They will then build a business case for taking this tech to market.<\/p>\n<h3>BlueForge<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Conversion of crustacean shell waste into high-value Chitosan products<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TechLeads: Prof Yan Ning \/ Maxim Dickieson \/ Nas Hakim<\/p>\n<p>This is a state-of-the-art fractionation method to extract high purity chitin from crustacean shell waste using clean and inexpensive reagents, which then undergoes a simple one-step conversion to chitosan. The low-price reagents and superior process efficiency facilitate significant cost savings compared to traditional methods. Applications range from agriculture, pharma, cosmetics, and water treatment where it meets growing demand for environmentally responsible and innovative solutions. The job for the team is to find the specific market application where this method is needed and develop a plan to take it to commercialization.<\/p>\n<h3>AIQUA<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A new low energy-method for removing water from the air (dehumidification)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TechLead: Prof Ding Jun \/ \u00a0Xu Xin<\/p>\n<p>This invention is a new hygroscopic hydrogel that strongly absorbs water from air and can be mechanically regenerated without heat. The hydrogel expands rapidly upon exposure to humidity and releases absorbed water through compression, reducing energy use by 99% compared with desiccants.
