About InnoVenture

In an innovation-driven economy competing on talents and real skills, InnoVenture – The Leadership & Innovation Challenge (EG2603) is designed to shape future engineer-leaders with the necessary soft skills and business know-how to create value.

It is an experiential module that provides students with the real-world opportunities to develop the skills to lead engineering innovation and entrepreneurship – skills that are much sought after by tech enterprises and can also pave the way to a new venture.

During classes, practical examples and innovation methodologies commonly used in innovative workplaces will be introduced.

Students are expected to learn via reflecting on those examples and through internalising and applying these concepts in the context of their own experiences, solve the real engineering problems set by IEL’s industry partners. Thus, students will get a chance to meet representatives from these partners who are always on the lookout for tech talents.

In addition, InnoVenture provides opportunities for students to interact with graduate students & alumni from other IEL experiential modules such as TechLaunch, Enterprise Development and Frugal Innovation through activities by the E-Magna Community.
