We are proud to announce that four ESI staff members are ranked among the world’s Top Scientists in 2026 by Research.Com<\/a> (https:\/\/research.com\/<\/a>). This 5th edition of the ranking contains the h-index, publications, and citation values collected on 12th January 2026.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The 5th edition of Top Scientists ranking list includes 178,039 scientists for 23 disciplines, including Animal Science and Veterinary, Biology and Biochemistry, Business and Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Ecology and Evolution, Economics and Finance, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Immunology, Law and Political Science, Materials Science, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Medicine, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Physics, Plant Science and Agronomy Psychology, Social Sciences and Humanities. The inclusion criteria for scholars to be considered for the ranking of top scientists are based on the discipline h-index, the proportion of the contributions made within the given discipline, in addition to the awards and achievements of the scientists. This ensures that the top 1% of leading scientists are considered to be in the ranking.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Four ESI staff are ranked in three disciplines, i.e. \u201cEconomics and Finance\u201d, \u201cEngineering and Technology\u201d and \u201cMechanical and Aerospace Engineering\u201d. Their rankings at current world and country levels in each discipline are summarized in the table below:<\/p>\r\n

Emeritus Professor Ang Beng Wah has been ranked first in the Current National Ranking and 273rd in the Current World Ranking, while Dr. Su Bin has been ranked 4th in the Current National Ranking and 633rd in the Current World Ranking. Both have received the Economics and Finance in Singapore Leader Award 2026.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
