Congratulations to Assistant Professor Tan Yu Jun <\/strong>on being awarded the Science, She Says!<\/em> award from Italy\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale<\/em>)! The award was presented recently in Naples by Italian Deputy Minister Edmondo Cirelli.<\/p>\n

The Science, She Says!<\/em> award recognises outstanding female scientists under 40 from outside Italy who have made significant contributions to science and technology in collaboration with Italian researchers and institutions.<\/p>\n

Asst Prof Tan was recognised for her innovative research and leadership in international collaborations that advance sustainable technology. Her research focuses on the development of sustainable devices and robots, with an emphasis on self-healing technologies for durability and bio-derived, biodegradable materials.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the recognition, Asst Prof Tan said:
\u201cI\u2019m proud to represent women in science, and I hope this inspires more young women everywhere to dream big and shape a more sustainable future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
