At GD Precision, they were exposed to a modern manufacturing environment and learnt more about how operations are supported by advanced systems and Industry 4.0 technologies. Together, the visits offered students a broader perspective on the scale and complexity of modern manufacturing and how different processes, systems and functions come together in industry today.<\/p>\r\n<p>Mr Gerry Ong, CEO of GD Precision Group, shared, &#8220;Many students were surprised to see that manufacturing today is highly advanced, with Artificial Intelligence (AI), autonomous technology and smart systems shaping how we operate at GD Precision.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p>The visits also highlighted the importance of company visits in helping students better understand engineering in practice.<\/p>\r\n<p>Harsh Ahuja, a Year 2 Mechanical Engineering student, said, &#8220;It&#8217;s one thing to do one&#8217;s own research about the company and its operations online. But being able to actually visit and interact with the workspace gives us a wider perspective of being an engineer at the company.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p>The visits also gave students a clearer understanding of how both companies contribute to the wider manufacturing landscape.<\/p>\r\n<strong>ATC <\/strong><strong>Globe Holdings <\/strong><strong>Pte Ltd<br \/>\r\n<\/strong>ATC supports
