Some are part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/idp\/academics\/overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innovation &amp; Design Programme<\/a>, some are part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/me\/undergraduate\/beng-me\/projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mechanical Systems Design Project<\/a> module, some are self-initiated by students as part of their interests, and many have competed locally, regionally, and even internationally!<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nus_seds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2022\/09\/BuildingSession2.jpg\" alt=\"BuildingSession2\" height=\"960\" width=\"1280\" title=\"BuildingSession2\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nus_seds\/\" title=\"NUS Rover Team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\tNUS Rover Team\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The flagship project of the NUS Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (NUS SEDS) interest group. The team&#8217;s aim is to design and build a semi-autonomous &#8216;Remotely Operated Vehicle&#8217; which can accomplish a variety of tasks, and participate in various regional\/international rover challenges &#8211; such as the University Rover Challenge.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/idp\/projects\/innovating-for-urban-mobility\/fsae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2019\/02\/nusfsae2018.jpg\" alt=\"Nusfsae2018\" height=\"1068\" width=\"1600\" title=\"Nusfsae2018\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/idp\/projects\/innovating-for-urban-mobility\/fsae\/\" title=\"NUS Formula SAE (FSAE)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\tNUS Formula SAE (FSAE)\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The NUS Formula SAE race car project was started in 2001, when a group of enterprising third year engineering students dreamed of building a race car for participation after their graduation in the intervarsity FSAE competition, held every May in Michigan, USA. Since then the project has evolved into an important educational component of the NUS Engineering Programme.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NUS.ME.MECHFLY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2022\/09\/thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"thumbnail\" height=\"490\" width=\"875\" title=\"thumbnail\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NUS.ME.MECHFLY\/\" title=\"Team MechFly (Flapping Wing MAV)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\tTeam MechFly (Flapping Wing MAV)\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Team MechFly is dedicated to the design and fabrication of the flapping wing micro-air-vehicle (MAV), and has been winning awards at local and regional competitions in past years.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bumblebee.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cde.nus.edu.sg\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/11\/2022\/09\/bumblebee.png\" alt=\"bumblebee\" height=\"736\" width=\"1365\" title=\"bumblebee\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bumblebee.sg\/\" title=\"Team Bumblebee\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\tTeam Bumblebee\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The team designs and builds autonomous maritime vehicles that are capable of navigating underwater and on the water surface and perform a series of tasks without any remote control assistance. The system is targeted to be designed as highly intelligent and robust to changing environmental conditions.
